About us

Welcome to the "About Us" subpage on rpq-qpn.org! We would like to introduce you to the team behind our pioneering research project and share our values, mission and vision.

Who are we?

We are an international team of experts, passionate about science and medicine, who have come together to change the way we understand and treat Parkinson's disease. Our team consists of geneticists, neuroscientists, bioinformaticians, and public health specialists who are working together to implement the genome-wide association study (GWAS) meta-analysis project for motor subtypes of Parkinson's disease.

Our Mission

Our mission is to uncover the genetic determinants of specific motor subtypes of Parkinson's disease through meta-analysis of GWAS study data. We believe that a better understanding of the genetics of this disease will open up new diagnostic and therapeutic options, thereby improving patients' quality of life.

Our Vision

The vision of rpq-qpn.org is a world where Parkinson's disease is fully understood and effectively treated. We aim for our research to contribute to the development of personalized medicine, where therapies are tailored to the individual needs and genetic characteristics of the patient. We want our findings to be the foundation for future medical research and innovation.

Our Story

The rpq-qpn.org project was born out of the need for a deeper understanding of Parkinson's disease and its complex genetic nature. It all started with a collaboration between several leading research institutions who, inspired by common goals, decided to pool their resources and expertise. Today we can boast numerous scientific publications and significant achievements in the field of neurogenetics.

Our Values

Innovation

We rely on the latest technologies and research methods to explore new horizons in genetic research. We use advanced artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) algorithms to process and analyze huge data sets.

Collaboration

We believe that collaboration is the key to success. Our project is based on close international cooperation, involving researchers, doctors, patients and organizations from all corners of the world. Together we can achieve more.

Transparency

We strive for maximum transparency in our activities. All of our research results are made available to the scientific and medical community. We want our findings to be available to all interested parties so that they can support further research and the development of new treatments.

Passion

Passion for science and medicine drives our activities. Every member of our team is committed to the project wholeheartedly, believing that our research can make a real difference in the lives of people with Parkinson's disease.
